The location was great, being situated between two beautiful beaches. the staff were friendly and always ready to help. the hotel had a peaceful ambiance, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The air conditioning in the rooms was poorly positioned and blew directly onto one side of the bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep. the hotel was quite far from any convenient shopping or dining options, requiring a tuk-tuk ride to reach them.

after the surf camp in Weligama, I found the perfect oasis at Villa The Leaf. Stayed in a spa-like room with a comfy bed, huge bathroom, and a relaxing terrace with hammocks. The staff was incredibly friendly and even allowed my friends to swim in the pool at night. Such a hidden gem with amazing value!

The rooms at Villa The Leaf were absolutely amazing! I loved how each room had its own private balcony with a stunning view of the pool. And guess what? They even had air conditioning which was a total lifesaver in the Sri Lankan heat. Plus, having a kitchenette in the room was so convenient for making my own meals.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of having an electric kettle in the double room. But hey, that's just me - I'm more of a coffee person.

The room at Villa The Leaf was so cozy and comfortable! I loved the air conditioning and wardrobe, which made me feel right at home. The balcony with a pool view was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Plus, having an electric kettle in the double room was super convenient for making tea or coffee. I felt like a pampered guest in this lovely room.
The only thing I liked less was the kitchenette in every room. Personally, I didn't need it during my stay, but I understand that others might find it useful.

Our stay at Villa The Leaf was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a beautiful Balinese-inspired villa nestled in a tranquil garden. The swimming pool provided a refreshing escape from the heat, and the view of the river from our room was incredibly peaceful. The spacious and clean room kept us cool without needing the AC. The staff was always kind and helpful, and the breakfast on the terrace was delicious. this was our best stay in Sri Lanka, and we highly recommend Villa The Leaf.
